Turns out, its a known issue related to having too many Creation Club mods active. Not even pushing Codsworth or clearing out the houses would fix the issue. "Maybe its my insanely high mod loadout." So I disabled all my free mods and restarted the whole run. So I reloaded a previous save and tried again, only for the issue to repeat itself. After going through his dialogue tree, he just sat there like a bump on a log.
In previous runs, I had never used him as a companion outside of clearing out Sanctuary and I wanted to give him a go, see what unique perspectives he might have on the Commonwealth. Try a different play style, maybe see what the other factions had to offer.Īfter leaving the vault, I checked in on Codsworth. Having played the same character to the point of little to no challenge, I decided to boot up a new playthough. Maybe even a few of the weapons it added like the 10mm Classic. Nothing other free mods didn't already offer like the power armour mods, but I liked the settlement stuff and cosmetic additions, as well as a few of the additional quests it added to the base game. I'm one of the rare few that actually liked the Creation Club content and wasn't too bothered to pay a few bucks for game expanding content. Before you write this off as preaching to the choir, being critical of the already unpopular Creation Club paid mods, give me a minute to explain myself.
